Reported execution

WPP says Colonel KI began in 2018 as KFC’s League of Legends prediction persona. Its 2023 case describes an upgrade into esports KOL activity, collector cards, exchanges and watch parties.

Our reading

The later work is a brand-IP activation built on an earlier AI mechanic, not evidence that the 2023 cards themselves made predictions. Keeping those dates separate avoids turning an origin story into a false current capability claim.

Production and evidence limits

Prediction quality, gambling-like interpretations and team-rights terms need careful governance. WPP supports the campaign chronology but does not publish a model audit or independent sales attribution.

Sources & limits

WPP’s 2023 case distinguishes its 2018 origin; reported discussion and view metrics are campaign claims.
