The record
Create Real Magic opened a controlled set of Coca-Cola assets to digital creators. The March 2023 announcement connected the making process to selected public displays and a creator program. The campaign therefore had something beyond an output box: a route from an individual experiment to a shared stage.
Our reading, looking back
Participation campaigns often count starts more readily than they explain endings. A person enters a prompt, sees an image and leaves. That can be pleasant, but it is not automatically a relationship with the brand. The invitation becomes stronger when people understand what their contribution might become and who will decide.
Selection is part of the product. Publish the constraints clearly. Make the credit visible. Explain whether the work is a private souvenir, a contest entry or material the brand may use. These are not small administrative details attached after the creative is finished; they shape the meaning of taking part.
A better brief
Instead of asking for a generator people will try, ask for an experience with an outcome people can describe to someone else. The result does not need to be large or spectacular. It needs to feel like the promised return for the attention and material the participant supplied. Completion, retrieval and understanding deserve as much review time as the first screen.
